PRIDE 2022
n the 5th of August the Canal Parade as part of the Pride Amsterdam takes place as an annual returning event in Amsterdam. This year it is the 25th edition of the Pride Amsterdam! During the Pride week there are numerous events in the city centre focused on celebrating diversity. At BOATAMSTERDAM.COM you can join this festive day on the 2nd by booking a private cruise for one of our open boats! The exact specifics for the Canal Parade this year are not yet final, hence we will update this website once more clarity is given regarding the possibilities for Pride 2022.
Canal Cruises during the Pride Amsterdam week [30 July – 7 August]
At BOATAMSTERDAM.COM everyone is welcome. Welcome to be one of our skippers, hosts or one of guests on board of our boats. We find it important to actively support and promote diversity and inclusivity and hence we strive to have a diverse workforce whereby everyone feels welcome to step on board!
During the Pride Amsterdam week our Open Boats are themed accordingly, with rainbow-coloured letters on both sides of our boats and by swopping our Amsterdam flag for the rainbow flag on the rear side of the boats. We offer a guided tour during this week that also highlights the history of the [Dutch] LGBTQ+ community [in addition to our general historic information and fun facts about Amsterdam]. Next to this, our tour highlights some important places in the city around the theme of Pride Amsterdam, for both our all drinks included cruise as well as our audio guided cruise.
