Award winning: Most Beautiful Houseboat of 2015 *
Unique in the Netherlands! A replica of a historic ship with two floors!
That Jupiter was nominated for Houseboat in the year 2015 is not surprising. Unique design to date is unmatched! With the combination of many techniques, a two-storey ship has been realized. This creates a sea of space in the heart of Amsterdam! By adding a lot of (sunscreen) glass it is very pleasant in all circumstances. From the living kitchen it is beautiful to look out on the only river of Amsterdam, with the beautiful Magere Brug as a gem of Amsterdam. In good weather, you can enjoy this beautiful view outside in the lounge cushions!
*The Jupiter has been voted the Netherlands's most beautiful houseboat 2015! It is about the public award of RTV NH. If that is not enough to convince you, look at the pictures of the ship!

There is no bedroom that is so close to Amsterdam's most romantic bridge. This bedroom is also used as a "honeymoon suite". And to complete it, while lying in this bed, you look through the glass ceiling to the stars!
From start to finish this was the best experience we could have wished for in Amsterdam. Booking was easy and communication with the owners swift. We found the boat easily and everything was as in the photographs. Our worries about the chilly December weather being a problem were allayed as Jupiter has very effective underfloor heating, so we were very cosy indeed. As well as the bedrooms we used the sofa bed upstairs. Our daughter loved waking up to see ducks passing by the portholes! The boat provided great views of river traffic and the lovely Magere Brug. Despite being a tourist area the boat was very peaceful and private. Really can't fault Houseboat Jupiter. It is in a perfect spot, within easy walking distance of all the main sights of Amsterdam. We will miss sitting out beneath the stars watching the world go by on this lovely boat.
